Is it a sign when I’ve been stuck at the same spot in the novel for a year now? I wrote the first draft of Parts I and II at inhuman speeds, then when I got to this part of the story, got stuck. In the interim, what I thought would be the interim, I decided to reread Parts I and II. And I was horrified. So I threw the draft out and started from scratch. Now, a year later, I am back at the same spot in the plot, and again I am stuck. I have been stuck here for months.
Also, my narrator’s voice is beginning to annoy me. Oh, never a good sign. Never a good sign…
